2023 All-Region | Division I Women's Soccer
The 2023 Division I All-Region teams for Division I Women's Soccer were recognized after players were selected based on their season's performance. With only two teams remaining in Division I, coaches built a 13 player First Team along with a Second Team of deserving performers.
 
Iowa Western, the No. 1 team in the country for the entire season, put eight players of the First Team. The Reivers touted a perfect 14-0 record through the District Tournament while allowing just five goals all season.
 
Most notably on First Team was ICCAC Division I Player of the Year, Lou Brossault. The sophomore forward had an outstanding season as the team's top facilitator. She produced 23 goals this season, scoring six herself, while also assisting on 17. That number is good for second in the nation.
 
Four times this season she had multiple assists in a match, including four in a route of Western Iowa Tech on Sept. 27.
 
Up top for the Reivers were a number of other players including freshman forward Oruha Hayashi, the team's leading scorer. Hayashi has 47 points to date (ninth in the country), with 15 goals and 17 assists.
 
The team's leading goal-scorer this year was Nicole Navarro Aguilar. The sophomore poured in 16 goals in 13 games. With 38 points, she's tied for second on the team. 
 
Two other forwards scored double digit goals this season, putting them on First Team as well. Marie Quentel and Marta Llopis were each placed on the list after 12 and 11 goals, respectively. 
 
Bella Washington is the backbone of the Reiver defense. The goalkeeper has led the Iowa Western defense to the aforementioned five goals allowed this season -- and only three of those have come while she was in net. She has made 30 saves while boasting a .909 save percentage in 1042 minutes of play this season. 
 
Rounding out the Reivers on First Team are Aika Tobaru and Nanami Hata. 
 
From Indian Hills, Sage Prince is the team's top goal scorer this season after finishing with eight. her 17 points are the highest on the team. Along with fellow First Teamer Maika Nchana, the two are the only players to reach double digit points for the Warriors in 2023. 
 
Alexia Bru had three goals and three assists this year. Leila Karam had three goals as well. 
 
Kenya Lee was the team's final First Team selection after a two goal season. 
 
Coach of the Year honors were given to Adam Sanchez for the third year in a row and fifth time since the award began in 2017. As mentioned, the Reivers started and ended the year as No. 1 in the NJCAA poll, with a perfect 14-0 record. The Reivers will defend their 2023 National Championship crown as the No. 1 seed of the NJCAA Tournament in Wichita, Kan. November 12-18.
