Women's Outdoor Track & Field All-Americans
The 2022 NJCAA Women's Outdoor Track & Field All-Americans made their mark at the NJCAA Championships in May, with the top three finishers of each event earning All-American status.
The ICCAC had a number of All-Americans, including six First Team honorees in eight events.
Hilda Chebet was the top runner at the NJCAA meet -- winning the 1,500 meter, 5,000 meter and 10,000 meter runs. Her performances earned the Reivers 30 points and led the to their first ever team national tite.
Four other Reivers earned First Team status as IWCC scored in 16 of the 22 events, winning seven of them. Sweeing the jumping events -- Alliyah McNeil was First Team in the high jump, Miracle Ailes was the long jump champion and Victory George won the triple jump. Rounding out the Reiver First Teamers was Antoino Sealy who won the heptathlon.
Emma Hoins of Hawkeye was the final individual champion from the ICCAC. She took first place in the 3000 meter steeplechase. Hoins was also Second Team in the 1,500 meter.
Iowa Western Second Teamers included Mercy Biwott in the 5000 meter and McNeil in the long jump.
Nickisha Pryce of Iowa Western was a Third Team qualifier in the 400 meter and Sealy rounded out the ICCAC's 13 All-American spots with a Third Team javelin performance.
