ICCAC FALL 2022 PREVIEW | DIVISION II WOMEN'S SOCCER
The ICCAC Division II Women's Soccer league adds a new team to the mix in 2022 with Marshalltown adding women's soccer. Dakota County will no longer be in the regular season scheduling agreement -- but each team will still play 10 conference matches to seed the now seven-team Region XI Tournament.
Northeast is the favorite this season -- the two-time defending Division II Region XI Champions return to the field with some of their top producers still intact from a season ago. In addition, their head coach is the only coach with more than one year of experience in the conference as Chad Miller enters his seventh season -- first as the women's only coach.
Back-to-back regional runner ups Hawkeye will look to dethrone the Hawks. A heavy overhaul occured in Waterloo with the departure of head coach Leo Driscoll and some of the team's best talent moving on.
Southeastern, NIACC and Scott will jockey for the middle of the pack. Scott and Southeastern each have new head coaches -- while NIACC hopes to improve after their 2021 season.
Marshalltown rounds out the group -- Led by Allie Osmundson, it is their hope that in the little time they have had since the program began they can compete immediately in the ICCAC.
