ICCAC FALL PREVIEW | DIVISION I WOMEN'S SOCCER
Region XI had their most successful soccer season in history last spring, sending six teams across men's and women's to the NJCAA National Tournament. Division I Women's Soccer had two teams represent the region at the tournament, and hope to make a deeper run again this fall.
Iowa Western took the regional championship again for the fifth straight season back in May. The Reivers lose their leading scorer but return a number of key players to be the favorites again this season. After failing to get out of the pool, the Reivers are hungry at another shot to make a run in November.
The Warriors of Indian Hills received an at-large bid after an outstanding season. The appearance at the national tournament was their first ever. They too would like to get back and have another shot to make it out of pool play, and would like to do so by way of a regional championship.
Iowa Central and Iowa Lakes each have new coaches, each with the last name of Miller. Abbey (Iowa Lakes) and Rilee (Iowa Central) gear their squads up to compete against two of the top teams in the country.
