2024-25 Winter Preview | Men's Wrestling
The 2024-25 Men's Wrestling season is underway with ICCAC teams getting ready for their opening duals next week.
This year, Hawkeye joins the schedule to give the ICCAC a 7-team league. The RedTails will be led by Dan Lovell who has an extensive wrestling background.
Iowa Central comes into this season as the league's favorite. The Tritons were the national runner up a season ago and will bring back some pieces that should compete for individual national championships.
Indian Hills is the highest ranked team in the NJCAA poll in the early going. The Warriors are ranked No. 2 in the country and are primed to push even higher up the leaderboard after their best-ever team finish at the national tournament in 2024.
The Reivers have a new coach this year for the first time in over a decade and are slotted as the No. 3 team in the coaches poll.
NIACC is back and could surprise some teams this year. They aren't far removed from a District Championship title in 2021-22 and Coach Steve Kelly returns for his 16th season with the Trojans.
Iowa Lakes and Ellsworth round out the group. The two will battle to get as many wrestlers as they can back into the National Tournament -- now with fewer spots available than before with Hawkeye in the mix.
