Tops in the nation: Sophomore Basil MInto (Cape Coral, Fla.) is ranked No. 1 at 184 pounds in the NJCAA rankings. Minto (10-1) was ranked second in the preseason rankings. Minto, who was fifth at the NJCAA meet as a freshman, has won titles at the Simpson College Invitational and the Coe College Invitational this season.

For the record: Freshman Shakheim Chapman (Gumee, Ill.) is 11-4 at 197 pounds … freshman Sam Solis (Clarion, Iowa) is 9-6 at 141/149 pounds … sophomore Alex Stockton (Gardner, Ia.) is 6-5 at 285 pounds.
