2024 Plains District Championship Tournament Info
DODGE CITY, Kan.-- The post season has arrived for the ICCAC Women's Golf teams as they head to Mariah Hills Golf Course in Dodge City, Kan. to fight for a spot in the NJCAA National Championships.
On April 29, the 15-teams will play for just two team spots and three individual spots. The top two teams will move on to the NJCAA National Championships along with up to the next three lowest scores that are not on one of those two teams -- so long as they finish within the top 10.

On Day 2, golfers will tee off at 9:00 a.m. in a shotgun start but pairings are based off of Day 1 scores. Both days golfers will play 18 holes -- totaling 36 by tournament end.
Last season it was Barton who took home the team title beating out Iowa Western by 50 strokes. Barton went on to finish sixth in the NJCAA Tournament last year and comes into this postseason ranked #2 in the region and #12 nationally.
Iowa Western, who finished second last season in the District Championships, has qualified 13 straight seasons for the NJCAA National Championship and with help from returning District Champion Baylie Pyke they look to do it again this year.
Pyke returns to this tournament ranked #1 in the region and #32 nationally for the Reivers Be sure to look out for Charlie Maxwell as she's ranked #3 in the region and #50 Nationally. Iowa Western as a team is ranked ninth in the NJCAA.
Iowa Central is a team that is looking to shake things up this year. The Tritons are led by Ivanna Becerra-Diaz who's ranked #2 in the region and #49 Nationally. Also a golfer to look out for is Liv Tait who's coming off back-to-back wins going into the postseason. As a team, Iowa Central is ranked 18th, second-highest in the Region, and fourth overall of the teams in the District behind Dodge City (8th), Iowa Western (9th), and Barton (14th).
Coming into the District Championships, DMACC is ranked #23 in the nation. The Bears are led by Meg Thompson who is ranked #102 nationally and #9 in the region with 16 total rounds played this year. Another team looking to make a move is Hawkeye, ranked #31 in the nation, which is led by Chase Doland who's ranked #108 nationally and is coming off back-to-back top three finishes.
Barton's Butpapapporn Sukterm is one golfer that could make a splash in the tournament as she has six wins this season and has placed at-least top three in all of her events. Sukterm is ranked #4 in the nation. Dodge City's own, Gaemphuang Ketrahong is climbing up the national rankings this season and comes into the District Championships at #16 in the nation.
