2023 Winter Preview | Women's Basketball

Eleven teams, fittingly, are back this season in the ICCAC to compete for a Region 11 Championship.

Kirkwood is the favorite again after winning the Region 11 crown for the third straight year. The Eagles are just one year removed from a National Championship in 2022 -- the Eagles placed third at last year's tournament.

Jockeying at the top will be Iowa Western, back-to-back regional runner up, and NIACC. Each has a reloaded with freshmen to go along with some key returners to have them primed to make postseason runs.

DMACC, Iowa Lakes and Northeast were voted in the middle of the pack. There might not be a lot that separates the top six in the ICCAC this season.

Iowa Central eyes a rebound after the second half of the conference season slipped away from the Tritons.

Ellsworth and Marshalltown will each build up their programs under new leadership -- Justin Rees is back for a second season in Iowa Falls while Dylan Longley inherits the Marshalltown team.

After both ending their seasons last year due to roster limitations, Southeastern and Southwestern are back in the conference schedule this season ready to compete.
