The NJCAA announced the 2021 Women's Basketball All-Americans on Tuesday, a list that features six ICCAC players.
Two Iowa Western players were recognized on the Division I lineup. Leading the way from the Reviers was ICCAC Player of the Year Gabriella Smith. Smith, a Second Team selection, helped lead Iowa Western to a regular season championship, Region XI title and North Central District title to return to their first National Tournament since 2017.
She averaged 15.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. She scored double digits in each of her last 10 games, averaging 18.1 points per night during that span. Her 362 total points was 35th best in the NJCAA this season.
Sophomore guard Hayley Berfield was named to the Honorable Mention team. Berfield, a two-time First Team All-Region selection, was the team's second leading scorer behind Smith at 10.8 points per game. She made 2.1 three-pointers per game and averaged just under two steals. She made 52 threes on the year, 36th best in the country.
From Division II, four players were recognized on this year's list.
Iowa Central's Isabell West was the lone First Team selection. The ICCAC Division II Player of the Year led Iowa Central to their first regional title and national tournament since 2011.
West averaged a double-double, with 18.8 points and 13.7 rebounds per game. She shot 50-percent from the floor, 35.9 from three and 73.1 from the line. Her 314 total rebounds led the nation and her 433 points was third best.
