Courtney Donahue Named NJCAA DII Softball Pitcher of the Year

Charlotte, NC – Courtney Donahue of Des Moines Area (IA) has been named the 2024 NJCAA Division II Softball Pitcher of the Year.
Donahue, an NJCAA First-Team All-America selection, earns the top honor after leading the nation with 25 complete games, 12 shutouts, 386 strikeouts, 14.48 strikeouts per game and a WHIP of 0.56 while boasting the third-best ERA in the nation at 0.93 while compiling 26 wins. Courtney was among the best in the nation with 186.2 innings pitched (5th) and a .115 batting average against (5th).
Des Moines Area's ace threw four perfect games during this season along with six additional no-hitters to earn Co-ICCAC Female Student-Athlete of the Year honors as well as Region 11 Pitcher of the Year, NJCAA First Team All-Region, and First Team All-American. Donahue has signed to play for Missouri in the NCAA Division I Southeastern Conference next season.
