2021 ICCAC Softball | Conference Preview
ICCAC Softball returns after a season shortened by COVID-19 in 2020. This season, the 12 ICCAC schools will compete in a cross-division conference schedule totaling 44 games of ICCAC competition.
Teams are scheduled to start games on Thursday, March 18, however, there are a couple of caveats. For weekday games, any that are not played on the date they are scheduled will not be able to be made up and count it the conference standings.
For weekend series, there is a three-day window that schools can work within to complete the four games series.
Once the conference games are tallied at season's end, each division will separate into their regional tournaments.
This year, Division I add Southwestern to the post-season pool. The fourth and fifth place finishers will play in a one-game playoff before entering the best-of-three semifinal series. The semifinal winners will play in a best-of-three championship as well.
In Division II, the teams will compete for two regional champion spots again, with a shot to advance to a district series and the from there, the World Series. Two pods, will provide a double-elimination tournament bracket route for each team.
