2025 Spring Preview | Men's Outdoor Track and Field
After an exciting ICCAC Indoor Track & Field season, athletes will head outdoors to kick off the highly anticipated 2025 Outdoor Season. With the addition of a new team, the conference now features eight programs set to compete.
Iowa Western enters the season as the team to beat, having secured its third consecutive Region 11 Outdoor title in 2024. The Reivers are coming off another dominant Indoor campaign as well, winning the 2025 Region 11 Indoor Championship, and they are well-positioned for a fourth-straight outdoor crown.
Indian Hills will also be a strong contender after finishing third at the Region 11 Indoor Championships. With a talented squad, the Warriors will be looking to challenge Iowa Western and make a push for the top spot.
Iowa Central, ranked third in the preseason coaches' poll, was the closest team to challenging the Reivers during the Indoor season. The Tritons, who claimed a remarkable 12 consecutive outdoor titles from 2009 to 2021, are eager to return to the top of the conference standings.
Hawkeye, NIACC, Southwestern, and Southeastern make up the middle of the pack, with each program featuring athletes capable of competing for individual conference titles and potentially earning national championship berths in May.
A new face joins the competition this season, as DMACC debuts its Track and Field program. The Bears send their middle and long distance runners that compete in cross country to the Outdoor Championships come May.
With established powers at the top and rising talent throughout the conference, the 2025 ICCAC Outdoor Track & Field season promises to be an exciting one to watch.
