van der Donk led the Hawks' defensive efforts.
Adam Potter was voted coach of the year after leading Northeast to is first Region 11 title and first National Tournament appearance. In his first season, Potter led the Hawks to 18 wins. Prior to that, Northeast, in seven seasons, had not finished with a record over .500.
Southeastern, by way of at-large bid, reached the NJCAA Tournament. The Blackhawks won the regular season conference crown, and with that, earned four First Team selections.
Juan Torres was the Blackhawks top choice. The sophomore goalkeeper allowed just eight goals and a goals-against average of .85.
Helping Torres in limiting goals were defensemen Goran Zencovich and Yashiaki Takeishi. Propeling SCC's offense was their top goal-scorer Foslyn Grant who had nine goals and First Team recognition.
Two Hawkeye players were named to the First Team in 2022. Joe Farlow had 11 goals, leading the team. He added six assists to finish third in the conference in points behind Purewal and Northeast forward Paul Eniero.
His offensive partner Dilesh Patel was the other RedTail on the First Team. Patel had seven goals and eight assists in a solid sophomore campaign.
