Four Selected to 2022 NJCAA Men's Basketball All-Star Game
The NJCAA Men's Basketball Coaches Association released the roster for the 2022 NCAA All-Star Game last Wednesday, with four ICCAC players finding their names on the list. The players selected will be featured in the annual game where players from NJCAA Division I team up against players from NJCAA Division II and NJCAA Division III. This year's game will be played on May 14 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
The first player to find their name on the list is sophomore first team All-American combo guard J'Vonne Hadley of Indian Hills. Hadley had a great season all around but hit his stride later in the season when the Warriors went on a 13-game win streak. During that streak he averaged 18.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. This high scoring win streak helped propel the Warriors to #6 in the NJCAA rankings and an automatic bid to the national tournament. Hadley was also named the ICCAC Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Year for his exceptional play.
Joining Hadley on the Division I team is Jesiah West from Southeastern. West, an athletic forward for the Blackhawks averaged 14.4 points, 9 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game last season. West was selected as a third team All-American last season while picking up first team honors in Region XI and the ICCAC.
Leading the way for the Division II/III team is first team All-American Jadan Graves of DMACC. Graves, an athletic point guard, did a little bit of everything for the Bears this season on offense, averaging 17.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Graves was a first team All-Region player and was selected as the ICCAC Division II Men's Basketball Player of the year.
Also playing on the Division II/III team this year is Kirkwood forward Dachaun Anderson. Anderson was a versatile player this year for the Eagles, playing both inside and out. Last season he averaged 10 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. He led the ICCAC in both rebounds and field goal percentage, shooting 71% from the floor. Anderson also earned first team All-Region honors this season.
