Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Coaches Recognized with NJCAA Legacy Award Honors
Charlotte, NC – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has announced its inaugural honorees for the prestigious Coaches Legacy Awards, presented by Nufabrx. The award recognizes the all-time winningest coaches in NJCAA history, marking a historic moment in the nearly 90-year history of the Association. The honorees, including influential coaches from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC), will be celebrated for their monumental contributions to NJCAA athletics.
The following coaches from the ICCAC have been honored with the NJCAA Coaches Legacy Award:
- John Lewis, Kirkwood - Baseball
- Mike Marquis, Indian Hills – Men's Basketball
- Kim Muhl, Kirkwood – Women's Basketball
- Matt Svehla, Northeast – Women's Basketball
- Dee Brown, Iowa Central – Women's Cross Country
- Mike Hagen, Indian Hills – Men's Golf
- Terry Gamble, Iowa Western – Women's Volleyball
- Patty Harrison, DMACC, Iowa Central – Women's Volleyball
- Luke Moffitt, Iowa Central – Men's Wrestling
Nearly 200 coaches from 28 different sports were nominated by the member colleges at which they coached, with these exceptional individuals being recognized for their remarkable careers and lasting impact on their respective sports and the NJCAA community.

The NJCAA will honor all award recipients at a special luncheon on Tuesday, June 17 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
