If you come into Ottumwa on Highway 63 from the north:
Take a left at the second set of stop lights (onto North Court Avenue). About 4 blocks from this intersection, you'll see a small Indian Hills sign (by the Ottumwa Veterinary Clinic). Take a left on Carter Avenue - this will bring you onto the Indian Hills campus. Veer to the left and follow the S-curve to the only 5-story building on campus. Take a left. This is Indian Hills Road. You will pass two buildings on your left the Hellyer Student Life Center and the Advanced Technology Center. Park in the parking lot on the far side of the Advanced Technology Building. The R.L. Hellyer Field is over the hill to your left.
If you come into Ottumwa on Highway 63 from the south or from Highway 34 from the West:
At the intersection of Highways 34 & 63, go north on Highway 63, cross the Des Moines River and go to the 3rd set of stop lights. Take a right on North Court Avenue. About 4 blocks from this intersection, you'll see a small Indian Hills sign (by the Ottumwa Veterinary Clinic). Follow the sign by taking a left on Carter Avenue - this will bring you onto the Indian Hills campus. Veer to the left and follow the S-curve to the only 5-story building on campus. Take a left. If you come into Ottumwa from Highway 34 East:
Take business route 34 straight into Ottumwa (do not take the bypass). At the first set of stop lights, take a right and go up the hill. This street has different names - it turns into Elm after a few blocks. Follow Elm all the way to Alta Vista (about 2+ miles). Turn right on Alta Vista. Follow Alta Vista until you get to the bottom of the big hill. Turn left on Indian Hills Road. Go to the first parking lot on your left just before the Advanced Technology Center. The R.L. Hellyer Field is over the hill to your left.

Traveling North on Highway 63 from Highway 34 to Midwest Field
- At second stoplight after crossing the Des Moines River, turn left on Woodlawn Avenue
- At the stop sign at the bottom of the hill, take a right on W. 2nd Street
- Kum-n-Go on the right. Two blocks on the left is Midwest Field
Traveling South on Hwy 63 from the Heartland Inn to Midwest Field
- At the 3rd stoplight take a right on Woodlawn Avenue
- At the stop sign at the bottom of the hill take a right on W. 2nd Street
- Kum-n-Go on the right. Two blocks on the left is Midwest Field
Traveling from IHCC to Midwest Field
- Leave via the east entrance
- Take Alta Vista to N. Court Avenue
- Take a left on N. Court to the Amoco
- At the Amoco take a right on W. Park Avenue to the stop sign at the bottom of the hill
- Take a right on W. 2nd Street. Pass the Kum-n-Go on the right and Midwest Field is two blocks on the left.
Traveling from Midwest Field to IHCC
- Take a right on W. 2nd Street to the Amoco
- Take a left at the Amoco onto W. Park Avenue to the stop sign beside a second Amoco on N. Court Avenue
- Take a left on N. Court. Drive past the cemetery and stay left at the mini Y in the road.
- Two blocks ahead on the right you will see a golf course. Turn right on Alta Vista. Do not go past the golf course!!
- At the bottom of the big hill you will see the entrance to the college. Park in the lot at the top of the hill.

From the east on Hwy 34: Come into Ottumwa on Bus. 34. At the first set of stop lights (Iowa Avenue), take a right and come up the hill. Iowa Avenue changes names up the hill - it becomes Elm Avenue. Follow Elm all the way to the T intersection of Elm & Alta Vista. Take a right on Alta Vista. You will go through a residential district and at the bottom of the hill, take a left onto campus on Indian Hills Drive. The HSLC is the 2nd large building on your left.
From the west on Hwy 34 - Come into Ottumwa to the junction of Hwy 34 & Hwy 63. Take a left onto Hwy 63 North. You will go to the 3rd set of stoplights after the bridge where you will take a right onto Woodland. At the stopsign take a left onto N. Court. Follow N Court until you get to Carter. Take a right on Carter which brings you onto campus. Veer to the left and go around the "S" curve...at the first opportunity, take a left onto Indian Hills Drive....the HSLC is the first building on your right.
From the south on Hwy 63 - Come into Ottumwa on Hwy 63. Highways 63 and 34 combine for a short while. Follow Hwy 63 north (to the right) at the intersection of 63 North & 34. You will go to the 3rd set of stoplights after the bridge where you will take a right onto Woodland. At the stopsign take a left onto N. Court. Follow N Court until you get to Carter. Take a right on Carter which brings you onto campus. Veer to the left and go around the "S" curve...at the first opportunity, take a left onto Indian Hills Drive....the HSLC is the first building on your right.
