Division I Conference Matches

#6 Indian Hills (33-3; 3-1) def. #10 Iowa Western (24-9; 3-1), 3-0

When Indian Hills needed it most, they delivered. The Warriors took down Iowa Western 3-0, 25-23, 26-24, 25-20 on the road in Council Bluffs. The win gave the Warriors a share of the Region XI regular-season championship after both teams finished the season 3-1.

The coincidence is that the exact same scores were posted in Ottumwa earlier this season, leaving the teams in a deadlock tie for first place, each winning three sets and scoring 143 points.

The teams flipped a coin on Thursday morning to determine the seeding in the Midwest District Tournament. Iowa Western won the coin toss and will represent Region XI in the Midwest A bracket and Indian Hills will head to the Midwest B bracket. Both tournaments will be hosted by teams from Region 24 (Illinois) on Nov. 9.

Other representatives from Region 4, 16 and 24 will be announced next week after the completion of their regional tournaments.
