Iowa Western headlines the District J Tournament this weekend hosted by Missouri West Plains. The Reivers are 33-3 heading into their semi-final match on Saturday against Lake Land, out of Region 24. The Reviers are led by Irina Alekseeva and Hina Pua'a. The outside hitter Alekseeva and the setter Pua'a provide the offensive firepower. Alekesseva is 9th in the country in kills with 419 and Pua'a has the most assists in the nation with 1311. 

If Iowa Western were to win, they would face the winner of Missouri West Plains and Vincennes. Of the three losses the Reviers have this season, one was at the hands of West Plains on Oct. 19. The semifinal match begins at 11:00 a.m. with the championship looming at 5:00 p.m.

In District K, Indian Hills will face John A. Logan of Region 24 in Park Hills, Mo. hosted by the Mineral Area. The Warriors had a relatively down year, only amounting 17 wins to this point, their lowest total since 19 wins in 2013. The only team Indian Hills has faced in their bracket is Mineral Area, who they fell to 3-0 back on Oct. 6. 

The Warriors will rely on the hitting power of Mariana Rodriguez. She is second in the country in kills with 503. The match begins at 1:00 p.m. and if they win, will face the winner of Mineral Area vs. Kaskaskia at 5:00 p.m.
