Jackson, MI: Iowa Western traveled to Michigan to pick up a win verse hosting Jackson College. The Reivers did all their work in the first half and cruised to their first shut-out win of the season. 
 
How It Happened: The Reivers scored early through sophomore Paola Ochoa. Ochoa was able to pressure the Jets backline and picked up a loose ball 45 yards from the Jackson goal. She out ran the Jet backline and was able to finish coolly past am I rushing goalkeeper. Freshman Lina Jaime would double the lead 9 minutes later receiving a well timed pass from Ochoa to get her behind the Jackson backline. Captain Moriah Lucas would finish off the scoring in the 30' capping off a good Reiver movement with the final ball coming from freshman Lexi Ashmore. 
 
Notes & Numbers: Iowa Western improves to 2-3-0. This was the first encounter in program history with Jackson College. Jaime opens up her IW scoring account, Ochoa notches her second of the season, and Lucas adds to her team leading 3 goals on the season. 
 
Quotes: Freshman Midfielder Morgan Garcia: "We did a great job at combining on short passes and moving the ball," Garcia noted. "We had a lot of players step up and play big minutes and created lots of opportunities to score. It was a lot of fun today," added Alexis Kellar.
