ICCAC Wrestling Standings

#5 Iowa Central @ #7 Iowa Lakes - Estherville, IA

Iowa Central travels to take on Iowa Lakes in Estherville tonight in an NJCAA top-10 tilt.

Iowa Central is coming off of a 29-14 triumph over NIACC on Nov. 28. Iowa Central won seven of the ten matches (two by forfeit) and had control of the duel the entire night. Kevin Radcliff (125#), Damond Lockner (141#), Yarhoski Aldiva (149#), Brian Stanford (184#), Amari Latimer (285#) all won their matches for the Tritons. Iowa Central will look to stay at the top of the ICCAC standings against Iowa Lakes, who is also undefeated in conference duels.

Iowa Lakes hasn't wrestled in the conference since Nov. 14 when they defeated Iowa Western 35-9 in dominating fashion. This team is hungry to get back onto the mat tonight against a good Iowa Central team that will be sure to give them everything they have.

Look for this duel to be everything you expect it to be; a physical neck and neck matchup that will not only separate one team atop the ICCAC standings but also give a glimpse into how the rest of the conference slate could end up.

#11 Iowa Western @ NIACC - Mason City, IA

Iowa Western heads to Mason City for a matchup with NIACC this evening.

The Reivers are coming off a loss to Ellsworth by a score of 25-15. It was a tough night for Iowa Western where they won the same amount of matches as ECC but had to forfeit two to the Panthers. Gad Huseman (141#), Pedro Medina (165#), Olen Brattin (174#), Ethan Poppe (197#) all won for the Reivers, but the two forfeits would prove to make a huge difference for the Reivers in a painful loss. Iowa Western now has an opportunity to bounce back from their loss at Ellsworth with a duel against an always scrappy NIACC program.

NIACC is returning to the mat after a 29-14 loss to a talented Iowa Central program. Brock Luthens (133#), Julian Giustiniano (157#), and Hunter Hagen (197#) all won their matches for NIACC, in a duel where they forfeited two weight classes and were proved outmanned against Iowa Central. The Trojans will look to take down the No. 11 Reivers on their home mat and gain back some ground in the ICCAC standings where they currently sit in fifth place.
