ICCAC Wrestling Dual Preview: January 31

As the regular season comes to a close, there is just one ICCAC conference dual remaining for the 2017-2018 season. On Wednesday, Iowa Central will hit the road to face Iowa Western in the final ICCAC dual of the year. Here's a quick look at the matchup:

Iowa Western will host Iowa Central for each team's final conference dual of the season. The Tritons defeated Iowa Western, 36-9, in a dual earlier this month. In that matchup, Iowa Central's Jeremiah Colon (125), Riley Palmer (157), and Eddie Smith (184) all secured pins over their respective opponents. In addition, the Tritons' Todd Small, the top-ranked wrestler for the 133-pound weight class defeated the Reivers' D'Andre Brumfield, who is ranked 6th in the same class.

Both teams enter the dual with a 3-2 record in conference duals. Iowa Central is currently ranked #7 in the NJCAA polls, while Iowa Western holds the #13 spot.

More exciting matches are expected in Wednesday's dual to cap off the season. Small and Brumfield are expected to face off again, while Iowa Western's Cody Kingery, ranked #6 for the 174-pound divison, can anticipate a matchup with Iowa Central's Jonah Egli, who is ranked #8.

Wednesday's dual will begin at 7pm at Iowa Western.
