Iowa Central Wins 2019 Region XI Title at STCP Championships

Ackley, Iowa – On Saturday, the ICCAC Sports Shooting programs competed at the 2019 Scholastic Clay Target Program Collegiate State Trap Championship at the Stockdale Gun Club in Ackley.

The American Trap Championship consisted of 200, 16-yard targets.

Iowa Central earned the conference championship with a score of 454. Jedadiah Miller led the Tritons with a score of 93, followed by Eric Long (92), Taylor Nelson (91), Carlton Davis (89) and Clinton Manning (89).

On the men's side of things, Braxton Childers from Hawkeye and Rex Neely from Ellsworth College tied for first place with scores of 95.

For the women, Alyssa Smith from Southeastern earned the leading spot with a score of 88. Natalie Koepke of Hawkeye and Taylor Scott of Ellsworth both placed third with a score of 82.
