NIACC's Amenzou wins Loras College Dr. Tucker Invite

Also for the NIACC men, Tyler Randall was 27th in a time of 28:03, Nick Frenz was 33rd in 28:18, Jacob Day was 36th in 28:31, John Enright was 47th in 28:59, Jose Aguilera was 63rd in 29:56, Aaron Hardcastle was 78th in 31:10 and Alec Mulcahey was 90th in 35:31.

Enright, Hardcastle and Mulcahey all recorded personal-best 8K times.

The NIACC women placed sixth with 153 points. Central College won the women's division with 32 points.

Freshman Jessica Blumberg placed fifth in the 6-kilometer race in 23:53 to pace the Lady Trojans. The 23:53 is the fifth-fastest 6K time in school history.

Also for the NIACC women, Alyssa Cowan was 26th in 25:14, Lattie Crozier was 37th in 27:57, Jordan Lane was 53rd in 27:17, Kendra Schmidt was 58th in 27:59, Taylor Glawe was 71st in 29:21 and Emma Phipps was 84th in 32:42.

The 25:14 for Cowan is tied for the ninth fastest 6K time in school history.

Both NIACC teams return to action Nov. 1 at the NJCAA Region XI meet in Fort Dodge.
