NIACC cross county teams return to action Friday in Dubuque

Last time out: The No. 12 (NJCAA Division I) NIACC women placed 25th in the college division race at the University of Arkansas Chile Pepper on Oct. 3 and the No. 16 (NJCAA Division I) NIACC men placed 26th.

In the women's race in Fayetteville, Ark., freshman Jessica Blumberg placed 209th in a time of 19 minutes, 18 seconds in the 5-kilometer race, which is the third fastest time in school history.

In the men's race, sophomore Imad Amenzou placed 67th in a school-record time of 25:12 in the 8K race. Amenzou broke the old school mark of 25:24 by Trey Simons in 2014.

Did you know? In 2010 at the Loras College Dr. Tucker Invitational, Anna Buenneke set the NIACC 6-kilometer school record, which still stands, with a second-place finish in 22 minutes, 27 seconds. Kalyn Kruckenberg was fifth in 23:17, which ranks fourth on NIACC's all-time 6K list.
