NIACC cross country teams compete at Griak Invite on Saturday

Last time out: The NIACC men won the Buena Vista Invitational last Friday with 32 points. The Lady Trojans won the women's meet with 31 points.

In the men's 8-kilometer race, NIACC sophomore Imad Amenzou won in a time of 26:28 and sophomore teammate Jacob Day was second in 27:12.

In the women's 5K race, NIACC freshman Jessica Blumberg was the individual champion in 20:28 in the 5K race. Freshman teammate Emerson Sears was third in 20:50.

History lesson: At the 2014 Roy Griak Invitational, NIACC's Hannah Palmeter placed 14th in the women's division II race in 22:55, which is the second fastest women's 6K time in school history.
