2023 ICCAC Spring Preview | Men's Golf

Eleven of the ICCAC's 14 member institutions will field a men's golf team this spring.

As usual, Indian Hills and Iowa Western will take the course at the Division I level. Currently, both are in the top 20 after finishing in the top 15 at last year's national tournament. The Warriors are ranked 10th while the Reivers are ranked 20th. Both expect strong results in their quest to return to the national tournament.

Nine Division II teams are now joined by members of Region 9 -- Central and Southeast Neb -- at the District Tournament. This year they will all meet at Lake Panorama National with the top three teams and two individuals getting the nod for the national tournament.

Kirkwood is the favorite, they have the two highest returning finishers from last year's tournament back on the squad, and are the seven-time reigning Region 11/District Champions.

Other teams in the mix at the top could be Hawkeye, Iowa Central, Northeast, who each have returners back that competed at the National Tournament. Northeast and Hawkeye reached as a team while the Tritons sent two individuals to Joplin last season.

DMACC has two sophomores that they'll rely on and could make a run towards the top. NIACC and Southwestern have the pieces that if they put it together in May could play towards qualification.
