HASTINGS, Neb. - The Iowa Western Reivers overcame a 2-shot deficit in the final round to win the Central District Championship on Tuedsay at Lochland Country Club.
Thomas Craig (+3) led all Reivers tying for a third place finish over the 54-hole event . Craig entered the day coming off a round 2 low of 70 and tied for the lead. Gustav Sjoberg and Jason Kolbas joined Craig in the top 10 each finishing in a tie for seventh at 6-over par.
Marcus Ericksen (11, +8) and Graedon Woodward (T16, +10) rounded out the Reiver performances.
Indian Hills finished in third place as a team and had the highest ICCAC finisher in Frank Vucic. Vucic shot a final round 70 (round low) to surge into a the runner up spot and finish two strokes behind the champion, Harry Crockett of Hutchinson.
Ryan Thomas finished in the top 10 at 7-over par and Max Hartmann was tied for 12th at 9-over for the Warriors.
Both teams will advance to the National Championships in May 10-13 in Odessa, Texas.
