Iowa Western & Indian Hills Compete in Two-Day Events

Two ICCAC schools headed to Glen Oaks Country Club for the Zach Johnson Invitational hosted by Drake University. Indian Hills and Iowa Western came through finishing 3rd and 4th in the team standings for the two-day, 54-hole event. 

Indian Hills finished the tournament with an overall team score of 930 for a total score of 78-over par. The Warriors had two top-15 finishes from Antoine Sale and Harry Fearn. They totaled mathcing scores of 232 (+19). Indian Hills will look to continue their run of impressive performances as they take to Ames on October 5 to participate at the DMACC Fall Invitational at the Ames Golf & Country Club. 

Iowa Western ended the tournament with a total team score of 931, one back of the Warriors. The Reivers had two top 20 scorers in the 47-man field. Jacob Falk Schollert turned in a 13th place with a score of 230 (+17). Kyle Hickey joined Schollert with a T-17 with a 233 (+20). The Reivers will join Indian Hills and other ICCAC schools in Ames next Monday.

Iowa Western Intercollegiate Showcase

Iowa Western's women's golf team also took to the links at Bent Tree Golf Course in Council Bluffs on Monday and Tuesday. After being on top of the leaderboard on day one, the hosting Reivers slipped on day two to finish third overall for the tournament. With a grand total of 636 (+60) they finished eight strokes behind Morningside College who won with a 628. The Reivers had two top-10 scorers with Seira Kubo shooting a 156 (+12), and Holly Elliot finisihing with a total of 160 (+16).
