Waldorf Invitational

On Sunday, NIACC men and women headed to Wedgewood Cove G.C in Albert Lea, Minn. The windy conditions made it difficult for a high number of good scores at the par-72 course.

As the only ICCAC team to be competing, they represented well coming through with a men's first place finish and a women's third place finish.

Leading the NIACC men was freshman John Doherty who shot a career-best 71 (-1) and was the individual champion. Doherty was joined in the top-10 by teammates Jack Barragy (76), JJ Wickman (79), Kai Nelles (79), and Jason Hesner (79). NIACC won the team championship by five strokes with a combined score of 305.

The Trojan women took third place with a team score of 370. They were led by Thea Lunning with a score of 82 (+10) who has been consistent for the Trojans after shooting a season-low 79 earlier last week.
