NIACC hosts Golf Invitational on Friday

ICCAC Golf is one of three sports in full swing this fall along with cross country and sport shooting. Tomorrow, five schools will be competing at the NIACC Golf Invitational in Mason City for both men and women. Schools participating are DMACC, Hawkeye, Iowa Central, Iowa Lakes, and the host, NIACC. 

The Invitational will be held at the Mason City Country Club. Tee times begin at 10:30 am. on Friday, Sept. 19. 

Leading up to the event, Iowa Central men's golf team captured the Iowa Central Fall Invitational last weekend, finishing eight shots ahead of DMACC. Iowa Lakes also competed in the Iowa Central Invitational and placed third overall.

On the women's side, NIACC won the Iowa Central Fall Invitational. Iowa Central sophomore, Kelly Boleyn, led the field to capture the individual title. Boleyn shot an 82, finishing two shots ahead of NIACC sophomore, Thea Lunning.

Looking Ahead: Indian Hills will be hosting in the Indian Hills Invitational on Monday, September 21. The ICCAC schools competing are DMACC, Iowa Western, Southeastern, Southwestern, and the host Indian Hills.
