RIVERSIDE, Iowa - Eight teams took to Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside last Saturday to participate in the annual ICCAC Preview. The event takes place on the Regional Championship course to give the golfers a preliminary look at where they will play to qualify for Nationals.
DMACC led the way after the round of 18, take first place both team and individual scores. DMACC finished two strokes ahead of second-place Kirkwood, 306 to 308. Noah Hartman finished atop the individual leader board, with an even-par 72. Teammates Dylan Sporrer (T2) and Dylan Ellis (T7) finished in the top 10 as well, shooing 74 and 77 respectively.
Kirkwood was led by 2018 First Team All-Region performer Ben Epperly who shot a 74, tied for second. Rounding out the top five were Northeast's Grant Sell and Jordan Hart, along with Kirkwood's Sterling McIlravy, all shooting a 76. Northeast finished in third place as a team in large from Sell and Hart's performances.
The teams will report back to Blue Top Ridge May 1-3, 2020 to determine the 2020 Region XI Champion and NJCAA Championship qualifiers.
