Kirkwood's Pint Inducted Into NJCAA Golf Hall of Fame

The Kirkwood Eagles won their fifth regional title in a row, 14 times out of 16 years. That in of itself is an astounding accomplishment. It couldn't have been done without the help of Darin Pint, head coach of the Kirkwood Men's Golf team, and now adding to his list of accomplishments, inducted into the NJCAA Golf Hall of Fame.

In his 23rd season as head coach of the Kirkwood golf team, he has a record of 1,233-328. During his long tenure, he has coached 80 national qualifiers, 17 NJCAA All-Americans, and numerous All-Region performers including four in 2019. Pint also produced the 2019 ICCAC Division II Men's Golf Player of the Year, sophomore Ryan Morrison.

His career is highlighted by team runner-up finishes in 2006 and 2016 along with an individual national champion in 2006 (TJ Redding). The Eagles have qualified 16 times as team under Pints watch and seven individuals have reached Nationals as well.

"It is an unbelievable honor but a lot of credit goes out to our administration at Kirkwood and the numerous players, families, and coaches that I've been fortunate enough to be part of their lives," said Pint in an NJCAA release. "To be inducted into the NJCAA Hall of Fame is a tremendous honor and one that I share with many people that helped me get here. I'd [also] like to most importantly thank my wife and kids for supporting me in this crazy world of coaching."

Pint has repeatedly shown that he deserves this honor with all he has done for the Eagles and the golfing community. He looks to keep up the same reputation in the NJCAA DII Men's Golf Championship.
