The 2019 NJCAA Region XI DII Men's Golf Championship will be held this Sunday and Monday, May 5-6th at Veenker Memorial Golf Course in Ames, IA. Nine teams will compete for the regional crown on a strong course at Veenker. Returning champions and current #3 ranked Kirkwood will look to defend their title. The rest of the field features #11 ranked DMACC, #15 Southwestern, #18 Iowa Lakes, #23 North Iowa, #25 Northeast, #32 Hawkeye, Iowa Central, and Southeastern.
Top individual performers to look out for are #18 ranked Ryan Morrison, #25 Ben Epperly, #27 Dawson Peters, and #28 Will Babcock of Kirkwood, as well as DMACC's #32 ranked Louie Psihoyos. (via golfstat.com)
The top three teams along with the next two best individual finishers will qualify for the 2019 NJCAA Championships at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Ind.
The competition will commence at 11:00AM on Sunday, May 5th, where players will golf in threesomes in an ordered schedule.
Play will continue again on Monday at 10:00AM with the order being repaired by team standings, higher scores teeing off first.
