AMES, Iowa - The ICCAC Division II Men's Golf team's held their annual Spring Preview on Monday, April 8 at the Veenker Memorial Golf Course.
The Kirkwood Eagles took first place with an overall score of 295. Individually, the Eagles had George Kalpakas earn a first-place victory totaling up only 71 points.
Second-place became a four-way tie when all men scored 73 points. The tie was between DMACC's Louie Psilhoyos, Kirkwood's Dawson Peters and Ben Epperly, and Southwestern's Reinhardt Saunderson.
DMACC earned second-place while scoring only three strokes behind Kirkwood, with 298.
The teams all scored within 58 points of one another. Northeast (Neb.) placed third (315 points), Iowa Lakes placed fourth (319 points) and Southwestern and DMACC's B-squad tied for fifth place with 320 points.
The men's golf teams will be back at Veenker Memorial on May 4-5 for the Region XI Tournament.
