The All-Nicklaus Team, which was created in 2008, is named for Jack Nicklaus, a long-time supporter of collegiate and amateur golf. Nicklaus was a Big Ten and NCAA champion at Ohio State before going on to win 18 major championships.
Fink (Wadena, Ia.) became NIACC's first-ever national golf champion and just the sixth Iowa golfer to win a junior college national title in May at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Ind.
Fink shot rounds of 77-68-72-70 (287) and finished the four-day tournament 1-under par. The former Valley of Elgin player was the first golfer from an Iowa school to win the NJCAA Division II title since Kirkwood's TJ Redding won in 2006.
