The ICCAC has a strong showing on recent NJCAA DI and DII Golf Polls

On the most recent men's Golf Division I and II NJCAA National Polls, the ICCAC is a stroke above the rest.

The conference has Indian Hills at No.2 and Iowa Western at No. 7 on the DI poll and Kirkwood at No. 4, NIACC at No. 6, DMACC at No. 9 and Iowa Lakes at No. 10 on the DII poll.

Indian Hills picked up its first win this season at Alabama A&M Golf Classic. The Warriors managed to place six golfers at the classic in the top ten.

Indian Hills were eleventh in the last year at the National Championship, but took home the national title the season prior in 2012.

Iowa Western placed fourth at the Washburn University Invitational this year.

Reivers sophomore golfer Max McGrail seems prime to have another impressive season. McGrail finished third for the Iowa Western at the Washburn Invitational.

At the national championship last season, Iowa Western finished sixth overall and had sophomore Jose Pelayo place third on the top individual rankings.

Kirkwood has been a staple at the national championships the past couple years. The Eagles took home a ninth place team finish in 2012 and a fourth place finish in 2012.

DMACC opened the spring season with a first place team finish at the Kansas Wesleyan Tournament. At the tournament, the Bears finished 301 strokes.

NIACC will kick off its spring season on March 30 at the Kirkwood Spring Invitational.

This season, the NJCAA will hold the spring golf DI national championship on May 11-16 and the DII national championship on May 20-23.
