IHCC Golfers Ranked No. 1

Hagen, whose team won two meets this fall, was second in two and recently finished third in the NJCAA Division I Fall Preview, says he's proud of the way his squad performed. "Our young team has worked hard this fall," said Hagen, "and we will continue to work hard during the offseason. This number-one ranking in the Golfstat poll is very special and now we have to carry the momentum into the spring."

Indian Hills also has seven golfers in the top 88 players in the country in individual rankings that take into account both Division I and II two-year schools.

The two sophs on this year's IHCC squad, Colin Pearson and Luke Monson, are rated 36th and 88th, respectively.

Between them are five talented freshmen, ranked between 46th and 75th. They are George Trujillo (46th), Harrison Moore (55th), Sam Sloman (62nd), Jakob Garstecki (66th) and Josh Smith (75th).

"Having seven players ranked in the top 88 in the country shows the depth of our team," said Hagen. "I've said numerous times that we are young, but very talented, and this verifies that. I truly believe our freshman class is the best in the country."
