"We flat out played poorly (Thursday)," NIACC coach Chris Frenz said. "None of the guys could get anything going and it was a frustrating day all the way around.

"Yes, it was windy, but hopefully we will learn that we have to come ready to compete on every swing."

Sophomore Levi Fink (Wadena, Ia.) led NIACC with a 39-38 - 77. Sophomore Joe Myers (Rockwell, Ia.) was next in line with a 40-43 - 83.

"Levi is having a strong fall season so far," Frenz said. "He should with the work he's put in during the off-season."

NIACC returns to action Sunday and Monday at the Clarke University Fall Invitational at the Thunder Hills Golf Course in Peosta.
