Top qualifying NJCAA Division I Men's Golf student-athletes from across the nation will be rolling into Burlington to participate in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I Men's Golf National Tournament May 13-16, 2014. Southeastern Community College and Spirit Hollow Golf submitted a bid to the NJCAA in October, 2013 and were selected to host this prestigious event.

Approximately 21-23 teams from community colleges across the nation will participate in this event which consists of both team and individual competition. The tournament will attract 128 participants and coaches to the community for six days total.

"Southeastern Community College and Spirit Hollow Golf Course are honored to be selected to host the 2014 National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Men's National Golf Tournament. Having the opportunity to host a National Tournament is a great thing for our community," said Melissa Navntoft, Tournament Director and Women's Athletic Coordinator.

A District Qualifier will be held in April and Fall Championship Preview tournament will also be hosted in Greater Burlington in mid-October at Spirit Hollow. "We are very pleased to be hosting the NJCAA Men's Golf National Tournament in 2014," said Jim Wyffels, Director of Golf, Spirit Hollow Golf Course. "We are also excited to host two events leading up to the Championship. The Fall Championship Preview in October of 2013 and the District Qualifier in April of 2014."
