Wartburg College won with a team score of 298, while Simpson College shot 300 for 2nd and Kirkwood followed with 301. Kirkwood sophomore Jordan Azbell, from Western Dubuque, won the tournament individually, firing a -1 under par round of 71. Marcus Giltner and Mitch Jacobi followed with a pair of 76's and Ryan Johnson rounded out the scoring with a 78 for the Eagles.

"I thought the round that Jordan played was a testament of how hard he has worked on his game since last year", Head Coach Darin Pint said. "He showed that potential in flashes last year, but this year seems to really understand how to score and how to play the game."

The Eagles play next at Fort Dodge Country Club along with the rest of their teams in their Region.

"It will be fun," Azbell said.
