LaBeaux, West to Participate at 2024 All-Star Game

The ICCAC will have two representatives at the 2024 NJCAA Men's Basketball All-Stars Game. This year's included are Trevion LaBeaux of Indians Hills and Iowa Lakes' Sam West.

Sophomore Trevion LaBeaux was recently named First Team All-American in NJCAA Division I. LaBeaux ended his season as the ICCAC Player of the Year, while earning First Team All-Conference. He was a four-time ICCAC Player of the Week as well.

The 6'5 forward from Waterloo, IA, averaged 13.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.2 steals in 32 games. LaBeaux racked 12 doubles-doubles (points & rebounds) during the season and was a major reason towards Indian Hills' success this year.

His game-high this year came against Marshalltown on January 17. He scored 30 points on 11-12 shooting, as well as going 7-8 from the charity stripe. He also grabbed nine total rebounds and three steals.

LaBeaux joins a long list of Indian Hills players to be selected to the All-Star Game including Don McHenry ('23), J'Vonne Hadley ('22), Shane Gatling ('18), Chris McNeal ('17), Nuni Omot ('16), Jordan Washington ('15), Lester Medford ('14), Jameel McKay ('13) and Jelan Kendrick ('13)

West will participate in the All-Stars Game as a Division II Second Team All-American. West averaged 15.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2.1 steals in 35 games. He shot 49.8% from the field and 35.5% from behind the arc. He was a catalyst that helped Iowa Lakes to their second-straight NJCAA National Tournament appearance. 

West led his team in minutes (30.8), rebounds (8.3), assists (4.1), and steals (2.2). His season best came against Northeast as West dropped 30 points and nine rebounds on 61.1% (11-18) shooting. 

The 6'5 Shakopee, Minnesota product was a First Team All-Region player this year. West was very effective on the glass all season, ranking inside the top 10 in the conference in offensive, defensive, and total rebounds per game. 

He is the first All-Star for Iowa Lakes since Deondre Parks back in 2014.
