Biancardi, Fraschilla To Speak at ICCAC June Events

The 2019 ICCAC Summer Recruiting Series will feature two keynote speakers.  Paul Biancardi will be speaking the first weekend at Johnston High School, June 21, and Fran Fraschilla is speaking the following weekend at Grandview University, June 28.

Paul Biancardi was an assistant at St. Louis, Boston College, and Ohio State before landing a head coaching job at Wright State. After three seasons, Biancardi became National Recruiting Director for ESPN. He also contributes analysis for college basketball and the NBA.

Fran Fraschilla started his career as an assistant coach at Providence under current Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes. Fraschilla then went on to coach Manhattan where he won two MAAC regular-season titles and one tournament championship. In 1995 Fraschilla was named MAAC Coach of the Year after going 26-5 and reaching the second round in the NCAA tournament. He made it to two total NCAA tournaments with the Jaspers.

After four seasons he went on to coach at St. Johns and New Mexico. Combined, he went to the NCAA tournament once and NIT three times. His coaching career ended with a 176-99 record.

Fraschilla is now an ESPN broadcast analyst most notably covering Big 12 Men's Basketball action. Like Biancardi, he provides analysis on pro prospects specializing in international players.

The 2019 ICCAC Summer Recruiting Series is an opportunity for NJCAA student-athletes who are under a current letter of intent or were enrolled this past spring, currently this summer or coming this fall. Teams will have open practice and then games spread throughout the weekend.

The recruiting period opens each weekend to all NCAA and NAIA coaches beginning on Friday at 6:00 pm and ending on Sunday at 4:00 pm.

Five other sites will be hosting NJCAA Summer Recruiting Series events as well including Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, New York, and Texas. For more information visit www.iccac.org.
