ICCAC's Best Honored as Division I Men's Basketball All-Region Announced

The ICCAC released the 2018-19 All-Region Team after a season that saw Southeastern win their first Region XI Championship since 2011. 

The Blackhawks were led by First Team All-Region selection AJ Cox. The sophomore guard was Southeastern's leading scorer, posting 13.8 points per game. He was second in the conference in steals (50) averaging just under 2 per contest. He also pulled down 3.3 rebounds per game.

Indian Hills had two players represented on First Team. As the co-regular season champions and runners-up, WarriorTomas Woldentensae was selected unanimously as the 2018-19 Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Year.

Woldentensae finished second in the conference in points per game with 17.3 per game in 28 games played. He led the league in made three-pointers connecting on 100 three-point attempts and finished with an incredible 47.6 shooting percentage from behind the arc. He was efficient from everywhere on the floor, with percentage splits of 46.7/47.6/88.8 from the field, three-point range, and free throw line.

Fellow Warrior Torrey Patton was also selected to First Team All-Region. Patton put up 13.9 points per game while shooting over 50% from the floor. Patton was also the team's leading rebounder, at just 6'5", he pulled down 8 rebounds per game, second-most in the league.

Marshalltown had one player represented on the First Team this season. As the conference's leading scorer, Kelton Edwards 18.4 points per game. He shot 45.8 percent from the floor in 31 appearances and made a conference-high 227 field goals. Edwards added 4.8 rebounds per game for the Tigers.

Rounding out the First Team was Iowa Western's Christian Bentley. Bentley scored 12 points per game for the Reivers, while making 1.5 threes per game. He finished fourth in the conference in assists (95) and had second most during conference play (31 in 8 games).
