JOHNSTON, Iowa – The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference will host the June Scholastic Recruiting Events for Men's & Women's Basketball for the second straight year. After partnering with Johnston Community School District for the first weekend of the 2019 events, the ICCAC and Johnston CSD will collaborate to host both weekends in 2020. The events will be held June 19-21 and June 26-28, with the main headquareters at Johnston High School.
Teams can sign up for $250 per team (4 student-athletes or more), or individuals can register for $60 per student-athlete.

Participants will be made up of NJCAA student-athletes who are under a current letter of intent or were enrolled in the spring of 2020, enrolled in summer or the fall of 2020, ranging from graduating sophomores to incoming freshmen.
The event offers four-year coaches to attend and evaluated the participating student-athletes after the summer rercruiting period was opened by the NCAA last summer. The cost of admission is tiered for coaches. NCAA Division I admission is $200, Division II admission is $150, and Division III/NAIA $100. All admission comes with a recruiting packet and access to the hospitality room. The recruiting period opens each weekend to all NCAA and NAIA coaches beginning on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and ending Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
In addition to scheduled practice times and listening to guest speakers, participating teams will scrimmage each other to allow for further evaluation of four-year recruiters. The event also provides incoming student-athletes to know their new coaches and teammates heading into the upcoming season.
